Field Paint Only?

But... Why?

Changes in the way that paintball fields are insured have led to a change in restrictions on the types of paint permitted at a paintball facility. To keep our customers safe, we are a 'Field Paint Only' facility. To help alleviate the financial strain on players, paintballs are discounted for Walk-On players ONLY ($13/bag for good quality, $15/bag for high quality).

What brought this change in insurance? It comes down to the way paintballs are made, stored, and modified. Each brand of paintballs features differences in fill quality, weight, diameter, and shell thickness. While this seems trivial, with the force that a paintball is projected at, this can have very different results. Paintballs that you typically see in big box retail stores are typicall cheaper paintballs for sure- but that also means they are cheaply made. They do not have the same Quality Control or adhere to the same ASTM Safety standards that paint from our distributors do. Sure, it may LOOK the same, it might even have the same brand name we are selling. However, the paintballs we have shipped in weekly is field-only; meaning only quality paintball fields can even offer it. It is also fresh paint- that paint you see in other stores has probably been there for WEEKS if not MONTHS.

Older paint like that will harden slightly, and the fill will settle. This decreases performance greatly, and will actually impact with more force. Our paintballs 100% avoid that situation.

There is also another reason we do this - some players seek to win at all costs. Some players take this idea to a whole new level- and they will perform some modifications to paintballs to make them 'shoot faster and harder'. This is typically done by 'freezing' paintballs, or in some extreme situations, actually inject METAL SHAVINGS into the ball to increase the balls weight, increasing the probability of the paintball breaking upon impact. This is NOT SAFE nor ENCOURAGED by our field and referees, so to prevent this situation, any paintballs taken off our facilities (even if purchased from us!) is not permitted any longer. We don't know what happens to that bag of paint once it leaves our store... and we only wish to protect those who are here.

Also... we strive to expand and provide you better services! We at Crusader Paintball have your Safety in mind first; your enjoyment second. We are constantly striving to give you a better player experience, and the funds we raise go directly towards making your next experience even better than your first.

So- Quality, Safety, Enjoyment. That is why we are Field Paint Only.
